I am on the Graduation Committee at George I. Sanchez Charter High School in southeast Houston and am researching candidates for the commencement address this year. Would anyone on your staff be interested in the opportunity or know of someone that would be?
Local Latino/a blogs should be part of your site so as to further promote the art of our local artisans of all levels and inspire students to take part in that community even outside the university. Houston has yet to become a diverse cultural city. The waves of people, including artists, that have moved here attracted by the cheaper cost of living is showing signs of trying to break through on new soil. Here is a site that I have just started reading and it sounds promising, a latina blogger from New York living right here in Houston. There are so many more.
